Although the lenses are incredibly strong, every underwater light on the market can suffer from lens damage. N.B. All lights should be designed with fail safes should this happen.

At present the boat has to be hauled to change a lens, however with the Quick Release Female Sleeve available for OceanLED Thru hull models only, the light can be quickly removed and replaced whilst the vessel is still in the water, potentially saving thousands on haulage and re-working.
